A cosy sweater and silver pump

I adore that J.Crew coat, actually adoring is an understatement I LOVE it plus with this cute elbow patch sweater that I bought back in October when the store opened in London has been my essential for this winter (comfy and cute what else could we possibly need)

Let's talk about the bag ... I have been wanting a Phillip Lim for ages (let's say that I finish uni last summer and can't quite afford it YET) I had an email from Just Fab to advertise shoes and bag for cheap so (as curious as I am) I clicked on it and found this little beauty, it looks just like a Lim and is not a fake one found on a strange site .... It has the 'just fab' brand tag so for 35£ it had to be purchased ...

Hope you guys have had a fabulous weekend, here it has been raining raining and raining again. I have been wanting to move for a while now and the weather is literally something that is driving me insane ... Don't get me wrong I love the UK but the weather is very hard to cope with ...

Wishing you all a wonderful week hoping it started better than mine :)

Friday readings

When the week starts I can only think of one thing ... FRIDAY and when friday comes I can only think of ESCAPING and lately escaping under the sun ... This photo reminds me of the amazing summer we had, the wedding, sun, NYC, The Hamptons, New England, Bikinis, (my 100 pairs of Ben Simon) ...

A little reading for you this weekend, enjoy :

. I think I am definitely going to try this little shoes DIY, it looks ever so easy and the result is quite cute for the summer ....

. This is every so brilliant, I should (as you all should) print this and just keep it in mind whenever I ask myself questions about fashion etc ... I particularly like this one : “Always organize your clothes going light to dark from left to right in your closet. Your eye will follow the color and thus help you stay organized.” — Melanie Charlton Fascitelli, Founder, Clos-ette and Clos-ette Too.
Is this a way of telling you all that I am so not organised ... well kinda ... I mean I am usually a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning and organising but then I wake up in the morning and try to find my outfit for the day and then bam my closet is (somehow) a mess ...

These beauties are on their way to me, aren't they just so cute? blush pink AND with a bow? plus don't forget J.Crew has an extra 40% off sales items (US only)

. If you are like me and have been looking for some comfy and cute silver pumps these are a must, hold on to that one ... they are only 19£ (would be silly not to get  the pink ones)

. Who does love a good simple J.Crew sweater , add a little Monogram on it and it will be fully yours forever :)

. Do you read Design Darling blog? if you are thinking right now 'hmm never heard' then big mistake click on it right now and start reading! She is every so sweet and her style is impeccable. She has done a 101 in 1001 list of 101 things to do in 1001 days ... the right list that is not a 'to do' list nor a 'bucket list' I have started mine last summer and will be putting it soon on the blog, in the mean time have a look at MacKenzie's one

. A little inspirational post from The EverGirl, for anyone in need Marie Clair editor in chief

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Wishlist Wednesday

Hats: American Apparel, Pink sweater: Esprit, Polka dot statement pants: Boden,  Shoes Nordstrom, Pouch: American Apparel, Navy cashmere sweater (under 100£): Esprit, Statement jacquard pants: Esprit,

I particularly love winters because of Christmas and some snow (not that we have tons of it in the UK) but sometimes a bit of snow is enjoyable. But once Christmas is over and long gone, don't we all just want some sunshine? It has been quite cold and raining here in the UK and it is quite frankly slightly depressing let's be honest ... I really feel like buying a one way flight ticket to the Turks and Caicos and stay with the in law until summer arrives ... (on a serious note I have been dreaming about it for weeks now is that a sign we should actually go?)
I have selected two outfits that I am crazy about at the moment, I am thinking of my spring/summer wardrobe already just to give me a bit of energy to go through the dull winter days. I have a wish list on my computer (a never ending one if you know what I mean) and these are a few of my favourite things to come in the new season.

We have made it to the midd week yay two more days until the weekend!

Stay warm!

Cocoon Cobalt

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend ...
As you can see we had a fabulously sunny day (very unusual in the UK .. hum hum)

I love that coat I got for Christmas from my family, it is ever so comfy and really warm. I chose that colour over to navy, beige or pink because it is so different yet so easy to wear ... you can dress it up or just wearing it with jeans and trainers.

I bought this Coach handbag in DC last summer and have been wearing it every since, same deal than the coat (I think I have an issue with this shade of blue) there was beige, black and red but this blue just screamed 'buy me' ...

J.Crew coat, Esprit sweater (old) similar, Massimo Dutti jeans (old) similars, Ballerinas were unbranded from a department store and same for the hat :) All the jewellery were from Topshop. Coach handbag, Nail polish is Essie After school boy blazerCaroll scarf, (for some reasons they do not have online shop but it was 80euros)

Confessions of a dreamaholic

via

Dreaming, how do you define dreams? I have lately been feeling very small and worthless, people in life can make you feel so little, like you have nothing to give. I have always been like my grand-dad: a DREAMER ... So yes maybe I have big dreams, maybe yes they are too big for such a small soul ... but you know when people tell you that you have to stop dreaming ... you know what I mean right? there are always some people that tell you to face the truth ... and frankly do we always wanna hear the truth? hmmm nope ... As far as I know (and yes I have checked) the definition of a dream is emotions, feelings, sensations and wild fancy and need for achievement a deep aspiration ... So in conclusion none said that dreaming was wrong and that it would never happen!!

I believe that in this world some people are lucky, some people have it all and some other have to work hard to get where they want to be and there is nothing wrong in working hard to get the dream in your head real once in for all. We are all so different in this world and that is why we were put on this earth for, to be different from one another and sometimes we don't all agree with each other, why? because we all have had a different idea of life because we all have different dreams ...

I have had a few emails lately of people telling my they love my blog and some asking me how my life is so perfect and cute? Yes I have an amazing love affair with my husband, I have wonderful, kind and generous parents, lovely friends, I have a nice closet and I travel a lot, I also have a lot of pink and sparkles surrounding me in my daily life (well yes pink and glitters make me happy get over it ...). What I wanna say is that we all (including me) feel like everybody has a perfect life ... a perfect 'Instagram' life? yes they do ... do they have it figured out all the time? no I don't think so ... Read these from bloggers I admire on a daily basis ... hereherehere and here

This year I want to be better, a better wife, a better daughter, a better friend and a better blogger. I really want to start getting confident about myself and not let people take me down and make me feel like I can not achieve my dreams, our dreams. I wanna focus on what is really important, for me it's my husband the only one who knows me best and who is supportive every step of the way no matter what I do, we need to remind ourselves what is real ... and my marriage is real, beautiful and has so much more to offer ...

I keep repeating to myself, 'it's ok to want something and work for it', happiness is unique yet we find society always trying to put a mass barometer on it ... well I won't let anyone, yet anything pressure my happiness. It is scary to acknowledge all that big heavy stuff isn't it?

So today (no actually last night at 3am) I have decided to take back control of my life, because life goes on and whatever you dream of in life remember: MAKE IT HAPPEN

Lots of love to you all out there who need to dream a little bigger and to believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams.

'Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life you have imagined'  Henry David Thoreau

Well done if you have read it all the way ;)

Cheerios folks!

A little leopard never killed nobody ....

First of all a big THANK YOU to the weather, because it has been raining non stop for days now (weeks actually to be honest) it is quite depressing, I think in a way I'd rather be in the snow in the USA wouldn't you ... (saying this Danielle said here that she didn't want to know if it wasn't as cold as Chicago so shhhh don't tell her I complained about the 12 degrees C.)

I have to say that lately this has been my favourite outfit to wear around the house ... because let's be honest during the holiday you just wanna stay comfy at home and these days we have been having storms after storms so being indoors this month is the only real thing we can do ...

No news here I think we can all agree that American Apparel have some of the best and cheapest clutch? ... I absolutely love them, they have so many colours I think I could want (need) all of them wouldn't you?

Jigsaw sweater, Pull and Bear boyfriend jeans (out of stock) similar hereNine West shoes (I scored mine on sale for 39£ can you believe it?) American Apparel pouch, Burberry scarf (old) similarJ.Crew bracelet, Banana Republic old bracelet, Essie nail polish

A bit of plaid

First outfit of 2014, I thought it was just right to start of with a bit of plaid, I have been spending a lot of time in this shirt that I got on sale just before Christmas at J.Crew, they never go wrong with their shirt. I have seen it a lot over the internet lately and I'm glad I bought it because it is now out of stock ...

Nothing better than a J.Crew necklace to top it all off ... (me obsessed with J.crew? no...)

My photographer (aka LJD) loves taking photos while I move ... ugh ugh no comment :)
These pants are so fabulous, I actually wish I'd bought every colours. It's in between a jegging/ridding pants/legging it's so comfy and went for the green one because I felt like it was appropriate for the winter (plus now it goes well with my shirt)

Esprit pants, J.Crew shirt (out of stock) similar, Minelli boots (old) similar, love these as well, Coat Zara (old) very similar in red

This year I feel like I want and need more colours in my wardrobe, I have tried over the last few years to stop being so french and add colours to my style but I still feel like I can do a lot ...

There is a lot more things I wanna discover this year, I still don't quite know where we are gonna be or what we are gonna do but it's the first real year where nothing is planned, you know what I mean usually you either go back to school and your year is pretty much set around this or back to work and normal life whereas for us it's a different story we are both starting something new and intriguing ...

I look forward to share it all with you :)

oh and don't forget : MAKE IT HAPPEN
