We always laugh when we see those lovely building with their little air con ruining the view ... looks like little tv outside the window!

The marines were in town, we saw them everywhere I kept saying to L that I felt like I was in a film set the old days when the girls were over excited about the marines being in town :)

You've got to love NYC, going from one beautiful and chic street to a little less romantic scene ...

We had a lovely brunch at Lafayette if you are ever in the area go for it it's real sweet. I love how Americans are obsessed with everything french and making their restaurants look like old Parisian cafes  :)
The view from our bedroom at the Hudson hotel was rather sweet, I like waking up and opening the blinds and see those big buildings it makes me ever so happy to be in the big apple. We loved the hotel style it was really beautiful and romantic, however our bedroom was the smallest in the world (my fault for having 3 suitcases) we told them we were so happy about our stay in the hotel and believe it or not they gave us a free night for the next time we are in the city? well let's say their complaint management was better than the rest ...

When you are in NYC you just have to look up otherwise you are missing out ...

Have a wonderful weekend

Bien fait

Sorry for not blogging these last few days I have been completely jet lagged and have had a major headache (plus to be honest I have also been sleeping like a baby and been unpacking and doing washing after washing) Is it me or does it feel like the basket is never empty?

Anyway, we shot these photos last saturday in NYC. We walked around Soho which frankly we really enjoyed. The weather was just alright not too cold not too hot (until it rained and we got caught in it right in the middle of time square)

I kept it casual for some serious walking we walk all around Soho and the area and walked back to our hotel in Columbus circle so I thought the heels were best kept in the suitcase. Those cute J.Crew espadrilles are very comfy (proof I have walked all day in them) and I love the bright pink it just makes me so happy :)
This sweatshirt is from Madewell, I never really used to buy (or like) clothes with things written on them especially french because most of the time they spell it wrong or forget a little word (no I will not name the brands that do that lol) This one however caught my eye and I thought ... come on S. you are french after all just show it :)
Sweatshirt: Madewell | Jeans: J.Brand (Thanks to Nordstrom rack I got them for $59) | Shoes: J.Crew | Bag: Coach | Sunnies: Karen Walker

Hope you are all having a nice weekend make sure you check out the blog again tomorrow for some fun photos of NYC.

The carrie dress

We spent our last day in DC downtown doing some shopping and enjoying our friend Obama in his pretty white house ...
It was rather hot so this cute dress was just the perfect choice, I usually wear it with heels but to walk around the city my little Tory Burch espadrilles were perfect.

This bag is my new little friend (um um) I was gonna go for bright pink but then my hubby thought I would wear this one a lot more with a lot more outfits and every seasons ... so stormy blue it was ...

Dress: J.Crew | Shoes: Tory Burch | Bag: Tory Burch | Pear bracelet: Zara | Knot bracelet: Kate Spade | Knot ring: Madewell | Ring: Nordstrom | Necklace: ASOS or other stores | Lipstick: NARS in Schiap | Nail polish: Essie in Go Ginza

Dressing up to go to the zoo is rather fun ... I thought florals would do for that day and it worked out really well to be honest. I am glad I wore this top I am now less white than before ... (you know the british white fashionable tan) It's quite hot in DC this week so it makes me so happy I can finally wear my summer outfits!

Top: J.Crew (best silk top) | Shorts: J.Crew | Shoes: J.Crew (similar) | Bag: Coach | Sunglasses: Ray-ban | Bracelet: Kate SpadeJ.CrewJ.Crew and monogrammed vintage one

Hope you all have a lovely day, we are enjoying our last day in DC before heading to NYC for the long memorial day weekend!

I am completely and utterly in L.O.V.E with Georgetown, it definitely is one of my favourite place on earth (after NYC don't worry not cheating on my fav) This place is heaven on earth being in the capital and surrounded by big downtown building is amazing but also being able to be in a quieter place with green and cute house is just perfect (did I mention the amount of shopping you can do there too?) J.Crew, Loft, Madewell, Vignard Vines, Torry Burch, MK, Coach,  Kate Spade, Rag&Bone and so on ...
